What every client needs to know about Giardia...

Recently, one of our clients had an unfortunate experience that we would like to share with you. Both dogs in the household were diagnosed with Giardia, a single celled protozoan parasite that causes severe GI upset. Shortly after, the owner came down with similar symptoms and was also diagnosed with Giardia. While a transmission like this is rare, it can happen. That is why we recommend testing for Giardia and practicing good hygiene with stool clean up.

New Service for Avian Clients!

Although routine grooming and examinations are necessary for many birds, it can be a stressful experience. We are now offering a safe form of brief anesthesia that allows the veterinarian to sedate your pet for these quick procedures, and then reverse the sedation in a matter of minutes.

The medication is administered without a needle into the nasal cavity and has been performed in our office without any negative reactions seen. Ask a staff member today for more information!
